I had scheduled an oil change online and when I went in for my appointment, i had to wait 2.5 HOURS for my oil change to be completed. When it was done, they didn't mention any recommended maintenance as they checked me out - and there was nothing listed on my paperwork of additional work that they recommended having done. The next day I got an email saying that " Several recommended items related to the ongoing performance and safety of your vehicle were postponed at that time" They listed a fuel induction service and coolant flush as services I needed. First - as I stated above ... none of this was mentioned to me at the time of service. Second - They recommended a fuel induction cleaning, when they had just performed that service 16k miles earlier. Then a month later, I got a second email, saying that I declined the following recommended services after a recent multi point inspection: fuel induction cleaning, coolant flush and tires. So apparently, they are adding to the list of services that I supposedly refused at my last service.Again - none of this was mentioned to me at the time of my service. I depend on my service department to recommend the maintenance that is needed on my truck. When they send me an email after I've been in their shop, and say that I've refused recommended services that were never mentioned to me, I lose faith in their professionalism. When the same email recommends a fuel induction cleaning that they have just performed 16k miles ago - I doubt their ability to keep track of what services I truly need.Their sales department is great. Their service department is where they lose my business.ps - despite what their response below says, no one ever contacted me.
I have to share my experience today at Smart Toyota. I saw a car on the Smart Toyota website so I contacted them. I explained I didn’t want to wait around for all the paperwork as I didn’t want to take time away from work. I worked with Bob Boyer and James Gooch and they were fantastic! They explained I could apply for financing online and they would move it forward so I could just come in and sign where I needed and be done. IT WAS AWESOME! I was in and out within an hour! The process was easy, detailed, efficient and the staff was incredibly accommodating! No time wasted on haggling with price, Lynette in financing department didn’t try to force me to buy things I didn’t want which in the past at other places they would get angry when I’d say ‘no’ and the best thing... I really was able to just walk in and finish the transaction! This is my second purchase with Smart Toyota and it won’t be my last! Thanks to the whole team for the most efficient experience I’ve ever encountered with a major purchase. You rock!!
